Little Red Riding Hood

Our goal was to create an interactive digital publication for any age using InDesign and Adobe Bundlr. I chose the a younger audience and chose to make an interactive fairy tale based off of the Grimm’s Fairy Tale stories. 2011

Using water colors I painted over 60 screens to use as the backdrop for the story. I used specific typefaces for each character’s personality. To interact with the publication you must tap any word highlighted in a different color.

Typography breathed new life into the story by giving each character their own voice.

The red character represents riding hood and the wolf paw represents the wolf throughout the story.

These vector type images would appear as the user tapped on the words.

Each sense that Red examines had a specific item to represent them. With hearing I picked a Victrola.

For a hug I used a teddy bear to represent the feeling.
