Christie’s - Evening Sales

GRADIENT was tapped to re-envision the traditional auction structure pioneered by Christie’s for over 250 years. The goal was to keep the auction’s roots in-tact while infusing a modern design during a major pandemic.

The GRADIENT team lead the charge, first redesigning the iconic Christie’s 200+ year old Rostrum, then infusing multi-dimensional broadcasting techniques to engage new viewers. Filmed and distributed globally from Hong Kong, London, Paris, and New York City, we utilized 3D virtual spaces, a massive in-room LED screen, custom orchestrated music, and global COVID-19 safety measures, to bring the in-room tension of a live auction to viewers across the globe.
